Catholic Book Project: And GOD saw that it all was excellent!
The European Forum wants to publish a book collecting autobiographical European Roman-Catholic LGBTQ stories. We are looking for autobiographies highlighting both the gap between the orders of the official Roman Catholic Church and your own sexuality and arrangements you made with both sides.
The European Forum of LGBT Christian Groups wants to publish a book collecting autobiographical Catholic European LGBTQ stories. We are looking for autobiographies highlighting both, the gap between the orders of the official Catholic Church and your own sexuality and how you came to terms with this. It does not matter whether you are still Roman Catholic or if you have left this church. If this topic means something to you personally, we would like to ask you for a contribution to our book. We have already received some stories, and we are especially interested in more stories from lesbian women, bisexuals and transgender people!
From the story of a Czech gay man
A Czech gay man tells about his life.
I grew up in an atheistic family. One month before the last summer vacation in elementary school, a friend of mine told me that banal, often derided missionary slogan of Pentecostal Christians: “Jesus loves you!” And I didn’t refuse. I still believe, it was the grace of God. After some time of seeking, I finally joined the Roman Catholic Church.
From the story of Diane from Malta
Through this story Diane from Malta would like to let people know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I did not want to be gay; by no stretch of the imagination did I want to feel all those strange feelings. Why did I have to be different to everybody else? Why could I not be normal? These were but only a few of the questions that I asked myself repeatedly. I remember feeling lost, alone and quite lonely.
