In Memoriam: Émile Letertre

Emile Letertre

The founder of the European Forum, Émile Letertre, passed away in peace on July 5th, 2015. He was 91 years old. Émile Letertre was a Catholic priest from the French group David & Jonathan who invited groups from all over Europe to the first gathering of LGBT Christians that took place in Paris 1982. He realized how important it was that we get to know each other and support one another. The European Forum of LGBT Christian Groups grew out of this initiative.

30th Anniversary 1982-2012

During the 2012 conference in Amsterdam the 30th anniversary of the European Forum was celebrated. The participants had cake, and toasted on the occasion. And the booklet with 30 years of history was presented.

In Memoriam: Brenda Harrison

Brenda Harrison

Brenda Harrison died on 24 February 2010 after a brave struggle against cancer. She was an amazing campaigner on behalf of gay christians, a former co-convenor of EFLGC, secretary of Changing Attitude and a former President of the European Forum of LGBT Christian groups, among many other things. She will be greatly missed. Arie Borgdorff wants to share with you some thoughts.
